Long-term care is emerging as the most significant health related issues of into the century. The number of people requiring long-term care is growing at an alarming rate due mainly to the aging of the population.

  • 1 out of 4 Americans will require long-term care at some time during their lifetime.
  • Nearly half of all Americans over age 65 will require nursing home care.
  • For a person over age 65, the average stay in a nursing home exceeds 2.5 years.
  • The average cost for custodial care in a nursing home in New York State exceeds $80,000 per year.
  • Most people are surprised to learn that Medicare, Medicare Supplemental, and other health insurances pay very little (if anything) towards long-term care expenses.
  • Over half of all long-term care nursing home bills are paid out of pocket.

The NCBA program for long-term care insurance usually provides a discount on individual long-term care insurance policies offered under a employer or association sponsorship. These policies can be either "Traditional LTC" insurance or "NYS Partnership LTC" insurance policies. The discount applies to employees and retirees, and their spouses, parents, parents-in-law, and grandparents.

Since most people are unfamiliar with long-term care insurance, we provide significant educational and informational support via meetings, seminars and individual consultations. We customize the insurance to meet specific individual needs, and we provide a wide range of coverage options, including an all-inclusive plan for lifetime coverage either at home or in a nursing home.
